This is what Jim himself says about the Magic Carpet: -

"These are not a retro design! With now more than 3000 hours and 12 years of development behind them, these are finely tuned, high performance surfboards... that are also very easy to surf!

Because these boards already produced so much speed, a lot of my development focus has been on improving manoeuvrability. So that they could really carve larger, more open faces, and still hold their line in tight turns.

What surprised me during this process, was how these boards became even faster. If these are not the fastest boards on the planet, they're certainly the fastest board that my customers and I have surfed.

When you get going on one of these, you will find yourself flying through sections effortlessly, usually to the amazement of everyone else in the water.

The low entry rocker of this design gives you outstanding glide and paddle power, while the slightly fuller outline and even tail rocker performs the sweetest, smoothest turns in any size wave.

So, don't make the mistake of confusing this with some sort of retro 70's style design, these are highly refined, high-performance surfboards that will truly surprise you with just how well it surfs."

Future Form

Future Form is a seamless combination of vee and double concave, where the vee puts the stringer above the rail line and rolls down into the concaves. It combines the strengths of concave and vee contours to offer a faster and more controlled experience that Jim is calling the biggest jump in surfboard design for 30 years.

EPS Flax Construction

A stringerless EPS construction that is lighter, stronger and more resistant to deck compression than traditional PU construction. Jim's EPS boards feel more like PU boards than many traditional EPS boards, they sit on top of the water, perform on the rail and run through the water like a PU board with almost identical buoyancy, this eliminates the need to compensate with a smaller size.

Flax is a natural fibre, that using a low-twist technology provides a combination of sustainability and performance not previously seen in composites. Compared to glass fibre composites, the flax offers reduced weight, improved environmental impact and safer handling. Flax's natural vibration damping characteristics work really well with the EPS blanks.
